Leadership Academy

Developing resilient, purpose-driven, and inclusive leaders.

The Leadership Academy for ethnic minority women provides an inclusive and accredited program that prepares participants to become resilient and purpose-driven leaders. Our curriculum integrates personal development, emotional resilience, and strategic leadership, ensuring that women from minority backgrounds are equipped with the necessary skills to make a system-wide impact. Interactive sessions, mentorship, and real-world case studies empower participants to navigate challenges confidently. This program is designed to foster an environment where women can thrive and lead authentically.

The Academy is currently only open to individuals who have attended the retreat. The next cohort begins July 2025.

Academy Structure

Duration: 6 -12 months
Frequency: Monthly live sessions (virtual ), complemented by self-paced learning, peer coaching, and group projects.
Modules: Six themed modules, building progressively on the retreat’s principles.
Capstone Project: Participants create a Leadership Impact Plan addressing a real-world challenge.
Sponsor/Mentor : Assigned real life Board level sponsor /mentor for the duration plus opportunity to shadow.
Accreditation Goal: Align the program with a recognised accreditation framework (e.g., ILM, CMI).
Graduation : An in person celebration/graduation at the 2026 leadership retreat.

Attending the 100 Breakers academy sessions in 2023 was truly life changing. The inspiring sessions, led by Funmi and other accomplished female guest speakers, encouraged me to aim higher and visualise a career earning £100k and beyond. One of my biggest takeaways was learning from the guest speakers’ stories and applying the tools they shared to overcome my lack of confidence. Since participating in the mentoring program, I’ve become more intentional about advancing my career. Most importantly, I’ve built a strong network of incredible women from my cohort who feel like sisters, providing unwavering support and invaluable insights. I am incredibly grateful for the motivation, push and new insights received through 100 breakers programme. It was a great experience and worthwhile investment that significantly contributed to my personal and professional growth. It also gave me a community of very supportive like minded professionals who continue to inspire one another.
